A quiet and disciplined organizer whose tireless, behind-the-scenes work was the bedrock of the Sangh's mission in Himachal and the foundation of the research institute.

Known for his calm and composed nature, Chetram Ji was the embodiment of selfless service. He shied away from the spotlight, preferring to work relentlessly behind the scenes to build the organization brick by brick. His life is a testament to the power of quiet discipline.

Biography

A Life of Service

  1. 1948

    Birth and Upbringing

    Born on August 3, 1948, in Jhandwala Hanumanta, a village on the border of Punjab and Rajasthan. He grew up in a farming family and was known for his calm and composed nature from a young age.

  2. 1971

    Dedication to the Sangh

    During his student life, he came in contact with the RSS. After a brief stint in a cooperative society job, his dedication to the Sangh's work led him to become a full-time Pracharak (organizer).

  3. 1973-1982

    Work in Ropar District

    As the district pracharak in Ropar, he was known for his firm, decisive nature and his ability to work tirelessly. During the Emergency, he skillfully evaded police to continue the Sangh's activities underground.

  4. 1982-2017

    Arrival in Himachal

    He was transferred to Himachal Pradesh, serving as district pracharak for Bilaspur. For 35 years, Bilaspur was his karmabhoomi, where he built a strong network of dedicated workers, focusing on teachers to instill patriotism in students.

  5. 2005-2017

    The Institute and Final Days

    As Prant Karyavah, he was the rock behind the establishment of the Neri research institute, managing its creation as a direct order from Thakur Ramsingh Ji. He passed away on August 5, 2017, leaving a void filled by his immense contributions.
